How To Make Money On The Internet Even With A Very Small List

Making a full time living on the internet is the dream of many people. They listen to a teleseminar or read an eBook about building an online business, and they begin to have ideas. Once they attend a live internet marketing event they are determined to make their dream become a reality. This is what happened to me in 2005.

Once you become more deeply involved in this pursuit, you find out that emailing your list with offers of things to buy will become a crucial part of the business. You will want to offer them courses, programs, and products that will help them to solve their problems. These may be your own products and services, or you may be offering those of others and acting as an affiliate.

This is the point at which many of us became discouraged. Some people even give up completely. This is because none of us has a list when we first get started on the internet. Even if we have been online for a few months our list is usually still very small. Building a list takes time, unless you can purchase one by using Google Adwords, and we want to make money now, without having to spend money first.

This is one of the biggest secrets on the internet. Move in a little closer so that I can whisper it to you. You do not need a list of one hundred thousand to make several thousand dollars each month. You do not even need a list of ten thousand people. You can start making money with a list of just a few hundred people.

How do I know this? I have been doing it for two years now. Even after all this time, my list is still only two thousand people, and I have long since passed the one hundred thousand dollars a year profit point. In fact, with a list of less than one thousand I have consistently placed in the top standings as an affiliate for people such as Alex Mandossian, Armand Morin, and others. Here is how I do this.

The key is to attract people to your list who are looking specifically for what you have to offer them on the internet. Set up an opt in page so that they can receive some free information on your topic in exchange for their name and email address. Then start giving them even more free information in the days after they sign up.

Email them every day for that first week or so to be sure they are truly interested in the topic you will be teaching and promoting. If they are not that interested they will simply unsubscribe during this time.

The result will be a highly responsive list that will be anxious to spend money on what you have to sell and promote. This has worked for me, so I know it will work for you as well.
