The divine gift of nature cannot be replaced by human intelligence. It is clear of comprehension that is why no living organism can be produced successfully in a laboratory. Scientists have analyzed the chemical compounds of plants, animals and human cells but have not been able to duplicate the same. This secrecy of life has remained unresolved proving that nature can only make living things and living beings.

Vitamins are required for metabolism of the body. These vitamins are not manufactured by the body but are available in the natural food stuffs we consume. Vitamins do not provide energy like fats, carbohydrates and some proteins; but perform certain vital functions required by the body to prevent disease and maintain good health. Vitamins are divided into two broad categories of fat-soluble types and water-soluble types. There are four fat soluble and nine water soluble types of vitamins.

The vitamin we ingest daily in the shape of supplements and made foods are synthetic and naturally occurring. Out of this, almost 95 per cent are synthetic and some are a combination of one or more naturally occurring vitamin ingredients combined with synthetic vitamins. Vitamin supplements produced from only naturally occurring food and botanicals is rare and not many vitamin manufacturers produce such products. These vitamin supplements contain no synthetic vitamin or nutrients. Most of the vitamin products found in food stores, drug stores and retail outlets packaged as tablets, capsules, gel caps or powders are synthetic vitamin supplement.

Some vitamin manufacturers use natural base derived from naturally occurring food or botanicals and add synthetic vitamin nutrients to produce a vitamin supplement product. Most of the multiple vitamin products use a natural base mixed with several synthetic vitamins to achieve their potency. There are other manufacturers who derive their supplements from specially grown materials known as food source, such as algae or yeasts. These products are a mixture of yeast or algae to create a base and add synthetic vitamins to make a product. These are not purely natural as it is blended with synthetic ingredients.

Vitamin supplements made from natural food and botanical sources are truly vitamin potency supplement products, and can be identified as naturally occurring. Natural vitamins have low potency but are effective. The human body can absorb the nutrients easily of naturally occurring vitamins without any toxic side effects of synthetic vitamins. Moreover, naturally occurring vitamin will positively impact the immune function that is necessary to combat disease. The chief function of vitamins is to strengthen the immune system of the human body, without which the body is prone to various ailments and diseases. Synthetic vitamins has side effects. Therefore, low potency naturally occurring vitamins are preferred to the high potency synthetic vitamins produced by vitamin manufacturers.
