Actually, some agents initiate their careers as reservation clerks or receptionists in travel agencies.

Travel agents often take repeated training classes so that it would be very helpful to clients that have become knowledgeable about the various visible features of traveling due to examining travel related information on the internet. Travel agents with experience are fit to get the Certified Travel Associate and Certified Travel Counselor certificates provided by certified Travel institutes. Travel institutes also provide other courses like sales and marketing strategies programs and destination specialist programs. For instance, The National Business Travel Association offers certifications in Corporate Travel Expert and Corporate Travel Executive.

o Taking off in Travel--It provides the fundamental summary of the travel industry and available career opportunities.

o Hotels and lodging-provides the fundamentals of the hotel product, classifications, and rate structures along with automated and non-automated reservation procedures.
